Practitioners Alliance Against Abuse of Vulnerable Adults
Practitioners Alliance Against Abuse of Vulnerable Adults (PAVA) is a local network of independent, voluntary and private sector professionals who meet four times a year to discuss and share issues and good practice around safeguarding adults at risk. They have speakers and workshops on relevant issues at their meetings. These have included Solicitors, specialist nurses, social workers, police inspectors, environmental health officers, trading standards and other member organisations who have talked specifically about their work.
They are linked to the Social Care and Health Safeguarding Board and representatives from both groups share points of information and feedback on safeguarding issues. Our terms of reference are shown at the bottom of this document.
