The ChangeUp Consortium
Brighton & Hove ChangeUp Consortium
The Consortium oversees several projects to improve the support available for groups in the city, which you can read about in the 2008-11 Business plan, and the 2008-14 Development Strategy. They are based on the 2006 Brighton & Hove Infrastructure Development Plan (IDP). A summary of the IDP is also available.
In 2007, the Consortium developed a joint Agreement on Support Services to helpl local Infrastructure (support) organisations to work in partnership.
The consortium consists of infrastructure organisations (organisations which support community and voluntary groups) plus 2 frontline group and 2 statutory sector representatives. You can download terms of reference, and minutes of Consortium meetings:
Until it was merged with the Consortium 2008, The Business Management Group (BMG) acted as a separate steering group. You can read the minutes of past meetings. From 2006-2007, Brighton and Hove had three local hubs in place of the current Consortium. You can read past minutes of the Community Support Hub, Organisation Support Hub and Representation and Communications Hub.
Reviewing Progress
A self-assessment day was held in August 2007. You can download the faciliators report and further notes. Annual open Consortium meetings are also held, which are a chance to report back to voluntary & community groups and other stakeholders.
