How to Join

To become a member of the Community and Voluntary Sector Forum follow these two steps:

  1. Check that your organisation meets the membership criteria
  2. Fill in the application for membership

The entitlements of joining

Joining the Forum is free & entitles you to send representatives to our quarterly meetings, receive quarterly reports and an annual directory which lists contact information for almost 500 local groups.

Being a member entitles your organisation to vote on issues & stand for election for the Forum's Trustee Board, Dialogue 50/50 Group or our representative seats on a range of citywide partnership bodies. You will also receive invitations to consultations held by the public sector.

The benefits of joining

By being a member of the Forum, you have the opportunity to take part in our events or join our networks. Our information services, such as Dialogue magazine, our email discussion list, our weekly email newsletter and our small, specialist lending library are designed to provide you with information which helps you carry out your work.

To ensure that volunteers can participate in any of the Forum's activities we will pay reasonable travel, child care and dependent care expenses and will do our best to respond to individual needs, for example interpreting & translation, reports in large print or on audio cassette.

If you have any special needs then please contact us.
