Action for Bevendean Community
ABC is a forum for residents and service providers to discuss all issues/activities pertaining to the Bevendean area. It is also the 'umbrella' organisation for several important sub-groups active locally. We delegate issues/concerns appropriately.
Aldrington Place/Loriners Court
A split sheltered-housing scheme, providing independent homes for the elderly with emergency cover and social activities.
As You Are Counselling
Offers professional affordable counselling and group work for all in the community seeking support or an opportunity to explore relevant life issues. No charge initial assesment session. We also run professional training days.
B&H Food Partnership
We provide a healthier, more sustainable & local food system for the city. We deliver cookery, growing + healthy weight programmes.
Bevendean Community Garden
We run a community garden by and for local residents. We use sustainable methods to grow as much food as we can.
Bike It Project
Bike It - Sustrans Project targets schools. Works with ten schools to increase cycling through incentives, events, class work, consultation, curriculum, school travel planning.
Black & Minority Ethnic Community Partnership
BMECP works with diverse BME community organisations providing capacity building support and enabling access to services, community development, research, advice, information, multi-agency partnerships in service delivery, multipurpose resource centre.
Bricycles
Promotes cycling as an environmentally friendly alternative to private motor transport. Campaigns for better conditions for cycling, both on road and off.
Brighton Cougars Basketball Club
Basketball for all. Opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to develop playing skills, interpersonal relationships on and off court, play abroad, and learn to coach and officiate. Camps, teams, training year-round.
Brighton Peace & Environment Centre
As Development Education Centre BPEC provides information and education about peace and environment related issues by working together with all parts of the community. The resource centre includes over 2000 books, teaching packs, leaflets, films and art.
