A Band of Brothers
A band of brothers seeks to address the escalation of self destruction and anti-social behaviour among disenfranchised young men through powerful mentoring relationships that they can call upon in times of need.
Active LightWorks
Low cost complementary therapy treatment to people with acute/chronic illnesses, disabilities, mental health issues & carers, especially when difficult economic circumstances hinders access to such treatments. We work with community groups & hospitals.
Adventure Unlimited
Enriching the lives of children and young people, in particular those from disadvantaged backgrounds, through outdoor adventure and education events run by previously unemployed adults and young people.
B&H Black Women's Group
We work to meet the needs of Black women, their families & communities by promoting anti-discriminatory practice; providing advice and advocacy; capacity-building Black organisations and staging cultural activities such as Black History Season.
B&H Parents & Childrens Group
We do summer outings, kids art club, homework club and christmas events.
B&H Unemployed Workers Centre
Campaigning body against benefit attacks on the unemployed and unwaged. We provide benefit advice, free computer access, meeting space and education. Internet access at £1 per hour. We also run a community vegetable shop.
B&H Unwaged Advice & Rights Centre
Offer facilities to the unemployed / unwaged - advice, representation, computer clubs. Only agency now providing employment advice and representation in Brighton and Hove.
BD4U - Eastern Promise
Belly dancing group for all (16+) based in Whitehawk area. Available for performances at community events. Have meetings, workshops and put on annual show. Open to all Brighton and Hove.
Bridge Community Education Centre
An adult education centre offering support services to adults returning to education and employment. We also house and support local community groups and Macs Place - young people?s advice centre. All courses are low cost and open to any B&H residents.
Brighton & Hove Foyer
The Foyer provides quality accommodation, support and activities to maximise young people's potential and help move them towards independent living.
