- Active Student works with students at the University of Brighton to find them rewarding, safe and supported volunteering opportunities within the local community. Active Student supports volunteers throughout their volunteering experience.
- Albion in the Community the charitable arm of Brighton & Hove FC, delivers a variety of social initiatives, including disability, education, health, social inclusion & sport related programmes targeting crime prevention, education, health & employment.
- Arthritis Research UK are committed to producing high quality information, based on the latest evidence to empower you to take more control of your health and to engage communities in supporting each other through events and fundraising.
- Advice/information about housing disrepair, service charges, issues to do with living in flats. Free advice to members including legal. Available every Tuesday at Friends Meeting House Ship Street 1.3pm. All leaseholders public and private sector welcome.
- Lectures on archaeology and local history, excavations and other fieldwork. Objectives: promoting study and ensuring proper recording and preservation of local antiquities and relics.
- A small community group that aims to challenge racism and prejudice by raising awareness of the multi-cultural history of Britain, particularly in B&H, including the contributions of Black and Minority Ethnic people to the city, both past and present.
- We provide a healthier, more sustainable & local food system for the city. We deliver cookery, growing + healthy weight programmes.
- Speak Out is an advocacy scheme which supports adults with learning disabilities to have their say and be heard. We provide one to one advocacy and have a network of speaking up groups.
- Belly dancing group for all (16+) based in Whitehawk area. Available for performances at community events. Have meetings, workshops and put on annual show. Open to all Brighton and Hove.
- Breathing and Singing for health and wellbeing. 2 singing groups (1 in Brighton, 1 in Hove) for elderly people with breathing difficulties (e.g. asthma, lung disease) or other long-term health problems (Parkinson's, depression, stroke...)
- The Bevendean Local Action Team empowers local residents to reduce anti-social behaviour and the fear of crime, in order to enhance local community safety and well-being.
- Supporting homeless and vulnerably housed people in Brighton and Hove through a variety of services.
- BMECP works with diverse BME community organisations providing capacity building support and enabling access to services, community development, research, advice, information, multi-agency partnerships in service delivery, multipurpose resource centre.
- Young people's project providing activities and support for Black and Minority Ethnic young people aged 11 to 25.
- An adult education centre offering support services to adults returning to education and employment. We also house and support local community groups and Macs Place - young people?s advice centre. All courses are low cost and open to any B&H residents.
- A network of locals exchanging goods, skills or services by trading in 6 Brights per hour: its barter without finding an exact match. Everyone has something to offer.
- Brighton & Hove is pioneering 10:10 city , with it's own campaign aiming to encourage everyone in theis diverse community to reduce carbon emmisions 10% at a time.
- The Foyer provides quality accommodation, support and activities to maximise young people's potential and help move them towards independent living.
- Provides a network of housing related services through a number of interlinked projects. These include a registered housing association, a day centre for homeless and inadequately housed people and a housing and legal advice centre.

- Singing and performance training for young people aged 8-18. Includes: vocal lessons; stage performance; recording; microphone technique; song writing.

- Care Co-ops offers a range of services to learning disabled adults, adults with mental health support needs and adults returning to the labour market. We offer advice regarding work and learning, skills and community support.
- We are a community building which serves the Preston Circus area and a venue which we hire out to a range of organisations and events. We are the base for Circus Preschool, Alternatives (pregnancy counselling) and City Gate Church.
- Provision of accessible, safe and affordable transport to community groups, voluntary sector organisations and individuals with mobility difficulties.
- Provides opportunities and a safe place for young people aged 7-25 by running club nights, out of school activities and daytime training programmes.
- Ditchling Museum offers people of all ages and abilities the opprotunity toa ccess its collection through workshops and participatory outreach project led by professional artists. Activities aim to encourage creativity and to develop practical skills.
- Promotes cross-cultural understanding, acceptance and exchange through music and dance, African/Euro performance and workshops.
- We are an amateur dramatics community group of adults who write & perform plays for the general public, mostly pantos. We meet twice a week to rehearse, build our own sets & make most of our own costumes. Money we make from tickets is used to pay rent.

- FN! provides furniture and other household effects at low cost to those who need them. All welcome. FN! also provides accredited and informal training to all unemployed and socially excluded groups.
- Provides a wide range of services for adults with learning disabilities.
- We are a not for profit company that aims to reduce the impact of suicide on our community. We deliver suicide intervention skills training (ASIST) and mental health awareness and skills training.
- A free online community for giving and getting unwanted goods for free. Reduces waste and increases reuse. We connect up people locally who have things they don't want with people who can use those things.
- Hindu festivals i.e. Holi In March, Navratri in October, 11 day festival Diwali. Do trips 3-4 times a year. Have different events in the Hindu Temple, Portslade.

- The PDS supports the voluntary sector with a range of services including: Contracting, Fundraising, Monitoring and Evaluation, Facilitation, Partnership Building, Business Planning, Business Development and Human Resource.
- IT Skills 4 Rural Kenya recycles unused computers to villages in Kenya. We also train volunteers from Brighton in IT skills before sending them to our assigned cillages in Kenya.
- Christian church meeting regularly at the Millwood Centre and Moulsecoomb Village Hall for worship. We welcome all to explore with us how we can apply Christian faith to everyday living and loving our neighbour (-hood!).
- Provides a hall & meeting rooms for groups at reasonable prices. The Community Cafe is open 9-3, Mon-Fri for low-cost meals. St George's Neighbourhood Nursery operates in the centre for up to 22 young people. Also takes bookings for St Georges Church.
- Knoll Comunity Association actively operates in the area of the Knoll Estate in West Hove. The Community Association has a long lease on St. Richard's Church and Community Centre which houses many Community and charitable groups.
- Community/Voluntary organisation overseen by board of Trustees/Directors. We raise funds to deliver waste, recycling and sustainability-related teaching and learning activities, such as our new Community Allotment.
- We provide end of life care services to adults with life limiting illnesses and practial and emotional support to the families and carers of our patients.

- Bringing together all ages, babies/toddlers/young bands/college students, to learn to sing, play instruments, understand recording/music technology, participation in festivals, building cultural understanding, love/respect in our communities.
- Training and advice to adults and young people who are vulnerable or at risk due to low basic skills, an offending background and/or unemployment. Training in media production, Internet, life and basic skills; workshops, outreach in community settings.
- Passing It On are a charity run by young people to help build schools in Africa. It has grown steadily over the past 5 years from 2 guys with a bucket to a team of mostly volunteers, who work tirelessly, believing that every child deserves an education.
- People who share is a social enterprise dedicated to building a marketplace of sharing. We believe that by harnessing th epower of sharing we can build strong, green, happy, healthy communities.
- Project V is the University of Sussex Student Union's volunteering scheme. We provide students and staff with volunteering placements in the local community that are rewarding, safe and supported.
- Radio Free Brighton is an entirely volunteer run and managed community radio station dedicated to informative programming and local news and opinions.

- Somerset Day Centre founded in 1980 provides supportive social & recreational day services for people over the age of 65 years. We provide transport, lunch, entertainment, activities & trips to local area.
- Information/signposting for single parents (men/women with sole/shared care) by single parents. Online group sending regular emails about events, free tickets, opportunities, training, children's activities.
- Stepping Stones Pre-school [formerly Parish Centre Pre-school] is a committee run pre-school which provides care and education by qualified staff for children of all abilities aged between 2 1/2 - 4 years. We are open from 9 AM in term time.
- Promotes the benefit of the inhabitants and primarily the Sudanese inhabitants in Sussex. Advances the education of the said inhabitants.
- Youth and community organisation. Our main activities include youth work advice and counselling, housing advice and provision, key skills training, supported by charity shops, with a variety of volunteering opportunities.

- A small UK charity aims to advance education and relieve poverty in India. Current projects are based around the rural village of Kanji in the state of Tamil Nadu.
- The Link Up Project supports children and young people who attend mainstream education and are on the special needs register, and their families. We run activities for the members and are a parent-led organisation.
- We work with children and young people in families and schools to promote safe, positive and nurturing touch through massage. Research has shown the benefits of this on emotional resilience and wellbeing.
