People's Development Strategy

The government's ‘2020 Vision for the Children's Workforce' is that everyone whose work and or volunteering is concerned with children and young people is part of the ‘One Children's Workforce'.

In order to meet achieve this vision on a local level the Brighton and Hove Children and Young People's Trust (CYPT) has developed the ‘People Development Strategy 2009-2012'.

This document describes the children's workforce, the vision of it, the strategy for achieving this vision and the actions set out to support this strategy.

The vision is "A world-class children's workforce that is increasingly competent and confident, inspiring trust and respect from parents and carers, as well as from children and young people themselves."
