Developing a Community Engagement Framework for the City
The intention is that the framework will be owned by the LSP (either the board or most likely an appropriate partnership) and signed up to by all key sectors and agencies in the city, including the Council, the PCT and the Police.
The Council will support the development of the framework guided by a working group made up of representatives from the constituent organisations of the LSP board.
The Council are currently consulting on their proposal for the Community Engagement Framework; read more about the consultation here.
Role of the Working Group
The Working Group will be responsible for planning and driving the Framework, including ensuring that the individuals, communities, groups and organisations that are recipients or deliverers of services, and consequently stakeholders of engagement processes, have an opportunity to be involved or to comment on the framework if they wish. The intention is that the working group will disband once the framework is complete.
The Framework
We anticipate that the Framework itself will pull together agreed over-arching outcomes, objectives and principles of engagement, underpinned by an action plan and robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to ensure that success can be measured.
